Some piano enthusiasts want something exquisite, like a customized rebuild. Others need something more typical, like a conventional rebuild or refinishing. Jackson Pianos does all of that. But make no mistake: There’s nothing typical about our commitment to detail.
When your piano seems to be losing some of its sound, or just looks worn from being played constantly over the years, it’s easy to allow yourself get the “new piano” bug.
But, hold on! Why get something new, when you can keep a prized family possession and make it like-new? The process of rebuilding a piano is an extremely involved undertaking—one that should be left to professionals with lengthy references, like us. And it’s one that’s totally worth it.
Real-deal piano rebuilding consists of more than just changing out a few parts. Each component—from the action board to the strings, pins and pedals—all must be meticulously sourced for a full rebuild. The tone should be agonized over until it’s spot-on. Soundboards must be custom fitted. The bridge and strings must be placed precisely. It takes patience, man.
And patience must be a big part of our rebuilding process. Like we said—it’s involved. But that’s how we’ve built a reputation that stretches well beyond the 314. We’ve gone as far as New Orleans to complete a job, because we consistently strive to exceed expectations. (And, who wouldn’t want to go to N’Awlins?)
Well-loved pianos get played an awful-lot. And the more they’re played, the more they might need a little cosmetic enhancement as they lose their luster.
Jackson Pianos can restore your piano cabinet to first-day-from-the-factory condition. We won’t spray a solution over your baby (or your upright) and just call it a day. We make sure that lacquer gets deep into the pores, smoothing and evening, polishing and perfecting as we go.
And when we’re done, your piano will gleam more than it has in ages. While the change might only be surface-deep, we guarantee you’ll feel a certain sense of pride seeing it in a new light, and you may just feel it in your playing. Like taking a Sunday drive after waxing the old ‘Caddy, but better.
