Moving & Storage

Worry-Free Professional Piano Moving

Moving a piano is extremely risky. Pianos are heavy and delicate—one wrong move can damage your piano’s appearance or intricate interior, scratch floors and gouge walls, or cause injury. Our full-time career movers are experts who move nothing but thousands of pianos a year in the safest and most effective way. Jackson Pianos moves both locally and coast to coast.

Are you a strong person looking for a job? We’re hiring!

Moving a piano isn’t like moving a couch, it’s a craft. As part of our move team, you’ll learn how to safely and efficiently handle one of the world’s most complex and beautiful instruments. What you’ll love about this job:

  • Skill & Strength: Get a full-body workout at work every day. No need for a gym membership!
  • Great Pay + Tips: Work full or part-time at $20+/hr, plus tips from grateful clients.
  • Training Provided: We provide full, PAID training so you can master the techniques that make moving even the heaviest grand piano smooth and controlled.

Climate-Controlled Piano Storage

Did you know that humidity can warp the integrity of strings, keys and wood? Or that a room that’s too hot will make a piano go sharp, or cold temperatures will make it go flat? Even indoors, Mother Nature’s laws can be cruel to our beloved instruments.

Whether you need storage for a week or indefinitely, our storage facility is the safest place to store your piano. We keep our warehouse at “piano-perfection”—60°F and 45% humidity year-round, to protect every piano from the damaging effects of an improper environment. Other locations (even climate-controlled storage units) are not specifically made for pianos.

Jackson Pianos has climate-controlled storage on site to house your instrument until you can welcome it home.
