When a piano has been damaged, it is best to have it inspected by a professional piano technician before determining how to best move forward.
Hopefully, you’ve had your piano professionally appraised for a situation just like this. If not, check out our appraisal services page.
Insurance adjusters just aren’t as familiar with the intricacies of pianos. They might be quick to state that your piano is a total loss. After all, they can eyeball the value of a TV or sofa. But pianos are an entirely different thing with their worth based on widely diverging factors.
On the other hand, they also could approve an amount for repairs that drastically underestimates the level of damage occurring in not-so-obvious areas of your piano.
Do not judge them too harshly, for they do not understand. That’s where we come in.
When your piano has been involved in an unfortunate event (like mishandling during a move, or involvement in an earthquake, for example), our extensively trained staff knows what to look for to give an accurate—and thorough—account of the true state of your prized-possession.
We’ll be able to advise if a piano is truly beyond repair. And if it’s not, we’re more than capable of getting it back to its former glory!
Keep in mind, work of this nature requires a thorough inspection before repair prices may be quote.
